Case
Fibia
Novataris has delivered a service-integration to OpenNet's platform.
Fibia can now deliver Waoo products to new markets through integration with OpenNet.
When SE and Eniig merged to form Norlys, all of Eniig’s customers in Central and North Jutland faced losing their Waoo products. Fibia wanted to allow these customers to switch to Fibia and keep their preferred Waoo products. However, migration of the existing Waoo customer base was subject to a strict deadline at the turn of 2020-2021 and needed to happen within a short time frame.
Novataris has made Fibia’s vision possible by providing an incredibly flexible integration to OpenNet, which was developed and implemented before the turn of the year. This has allowed Fibia to deliver Waoo to all its customers and expand their business to new markets.
The integration solution manages everything from order placement and handling to synchronisation of customer cases and booking of technicians, while also creating a wide range of business advantages for Fibia.
The solution allows automatic network setup, which ensures Fibia has an efficient and simplified work process. It also includes a continuous update mechanism that provides network and support updates, while facilitating troubleshooting. This gives Fibia constant insight into operational problems.
The solution adapts OpenNet’s platform to Fibia’s business language and serves as a bridge between the two systems. This allows Fibia’s employees to easily use the new platform as an integrated part of the business, without compromising on existing work procedures.
At the same time, Fibia’s employees can quickly provide customer support, as the integration offers support tools via a support website.
The integration consists of a Fibia Enterprise Service Bus module (ESB) developed in line with the existing integration solution. Novataris has helped Fibia to achieve a robust and enormously flexible integration that speaks to Fibia’s other systems and fits the company’s specific needs.
Until the turn of the year, Novataris also supplied a temporary campaign website (beholdwaoo.dk) that made it easy for existing Waoo customers to keep Waoo by switching to Fibia. The website offered clear information to customers and provided the potential for product ordering and customer contact.
Fibre company Fibia is owned by NRGi (one of Denmark’s largest energy companies, with more than 1,100 employees and just over 210,000 shareholders) and ANDEL (Denmark’s largest cooperative energy and fibre network group with 400,000 customers and shareholders). Fibia is among Denmark’s largest companies and has installed fibre networks on large parts of Zealand, the islands, and Eastern Jutland. The company supplies fibre networks to more than 550,000 households and businesses and has over 250,000 customers.
To deliver Waoo in Eniig’s fibre network, Fibia needed a flexible integration with OpenNet’s platform that could work seamlessly with their existing systems.
At the same time, the platform had to be robust enough to handle thousands of orders at the turn of the year. This was part of the migration of Waoo customers who had chosen to switch to Fibia so they could keep Waoo.
Fibia faced a tough deadline at the turn of the year, as many customers risked losing their Waoo services if the project was not completed on time. This required a collaboration partner who could ensure the development process was flexible and efficient, thus allowing the company’s stringent demands and the project deadline to be met.
Fibia now has a robust and extremely flexible service integration with the OpenNet platform. The integration takes care of order placement and processing, synchronisation of customer cases and booking of technicians.
The solution enables automatic network setup, ensures continuous updating, adapts OpenNet’s platform to Fibia’s business language and contains support tools.
The integration is based on a Fibia Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) module, which has been developed with great consideration for the existing integration solution and includes centralised logging and performance monitoring. This means that in the new integration, Fibia can also monitor everything from errors to performance problems and unexpected usage patterns.
At the turn of the year, Novataris set up a temporary website (beholdwaoo.dk), where existing Waoo customers could easily choose to switch to Fibia and keep Waoo.
With an agile working method and effective collaboration with Fibia, the integration solution was developed and implemented before the stringent deadline at the turn of the year.
With the new integration, Fibia can expand its business to new markets and supply Waoo solutions to customers in Central and Northern Jutland.
Continuous updating gives Fibia constant insight into operational problems and ensures a high level of troubleshooting.
Through the solution’s automatic network setup, Fibia is guaranteed an efficient and simplified work process, which saves the company valuable resources.
Existing Waoo customers could easily choose to keep Waoo by switching to Fibia, which was possible via a temporary campaign website (keepwaoo.dk).
‘It was crucial for Fibia to be able to continue offering Waoo Fibre to citizens on Eniig’s network. A very strict deadline under difficult conditions made the task more difficult than usual. Thanks to the collaboration with Novataris, the goal was not only reached on time but was also very successful. Novataris delivered a high-quality solution, and they were efficient and flexible during the project and in connection with migrating the Waoo customers who chose to keep their Waoo solution with Fibia.’
